The IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society (IEEE GRSS) is pleased to announce the availability of forty (40) travel grants, each valued at USD 500, to support IEEE GRSS members and student members from the MENA region, Africa, and Türkiye to attend and present their work at M2GARSS.

This travel grant program aims to encourage the participation of students and early-career researchers by partially covering their travel and participation expenses and enabling them to attend the full duration of the symposium.

1. Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the M2GARSS-GRSS Travel Grant, applicants must:

• Be an IEEE member and an IEEE GRSS member
• Be the first author or presenting author of at least one accepted paper or poster at M2GARSS
• Be affiliated with an institution located in the MENA region, Africa, or Türkiye
• Have not received IEEE GRSS travel funding within the last two (2) years
• Submit only one application per paper ID and IEEE/GRSS membership number

Priority will be given to student members and applicants with demonstrated financial need.

2. Application Process

• Application deadline : 22 March 2026
• Notification of decision: 15 April 2026

3. Payment and Reimbursement

• The travel grant will be paid after the conference, once the recipient has:
  • Presented their paper or poster at M2GARSS
  • Submitted the required documentation and receipts
• Payment will be made via direct bank transfer by IEEE GRSS
• Claims must be submitted within 30 days after the conference

4. Selection Considerations

---

Applicants may strengthen their application if:

• They have co-funding from their institution or other external sources
• They are active volunteers in an IEEE GRSS Chapter or GRSS Student Chapter
