Invitation to M2GARSS 2026

Hosted by the IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society (IEEE GRSS), in collaboration with the IEEE GRSS Moroccan Chapter and Chouaib Doukkali University, the 2026 Mediterranean and Middle-East Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium (M2GARSS 2026) will be held from 22 - 24 April 2026, in a hybrid format: physically in Marrakech, Morocco, and virtually via an online platform.On behalf of IEEE GRSS and the M2GARSS 2026 Organizing Committee, we are pleased to invite you to participate in M2GARSS 2026, the 4th edition of the Mediterranean and Middle-East (M2) regional symposium of IEEE GRSS. This event will bring together leading scientists, engineers, and educators from the M2 region and across the globe to share their latest research and innovations in geoscience, remote sensing, and related disciplines.We look forward to welcoming you to M2GARSS 2026 in the vibrant city of Marrakech, where you will have the opportunity to engage in dynamic discussions and network with peers in both academic and industrial settings.

Technical Themes

M2GARSS is set to be a leading regional event for the Mediterranean and Middle-East in the field of remote sensing. It will serve as an exceptional platform to gain insights into the latest advancements, exchange innovative ideas, explore emerging trends, and connect with the international geoscience and remote sensing communities. The M2GARSS 2026 technical program will feature oral presentations, poster sessions, and tutorial workshops, covering a broad range of topics, including the following key themes:

In addition, special topics will be addressed, including:

Publication of Proceedings

Accepted papers will be published in the proceedings on IEEE Xplore only if presented at the Symposium by one of the list authors duly registered.

Paper Submission

Authors who wish to give a presentation are requested to submit a paper/abstract (minimum of 2 pages; maximum of 4 pages).

Best Oral and Poster Presentations and 3MT© Competition

M2GARSS 2026 will honor the outstanding achievements of the best oral and poster presentations, and the winners of the 3MT Competition organized in M2GARSS 2026. Scientific committees of experts will select the awardees.

Registration Fees

M2GARSS will maintain the same high standards as IGARSS, the flagship GRSS symposium, in terms of scientific quality and organization, but with lower registration fees.
